Behind scenes of Final Destination 5 with VFX Supervisor Chad Wiebe

This time we recommended you another „behind scene“ interview. Postal Art of VFX made asked some questions Chad Wiebe, VFX Supervisor in Prime Focus, about their part at movie Final Destination 5. Chad`s team (about 70 artist) created the opening premonition sequence of the movie, where the suspension bridge collapses and the main characters meet their demise. He unveils everything about this amazing job. Doing this sequence took much time.  They spent about 8 weeks doing only previz for the sequence before the shoot.

Topic of this competition is to create an image related to this theme. Every one of us saw many movies, series or played some videogames. So how could look life on earth in the future. Holographic phones? Life without any illness? Be creative but do not forget on following rules. It must be created with Blender. You may use any external renderer you wish. Photographic elements are allowed, but must not be a central part of the image (e.g. sky backgrounds are okay) and etc. For all condition follow the link at the end of the article.

Tree C Technology has released a new version of VR4MAX, its virtual reality content-creation plug-in for 3ds Max. Thie release includes great new features, like  the Atmosphere System and a LUA Script Engine. Atmosphere System allows you to add realistic stunning  and weather conditions, including clouds, precipitation and wind. The LUA script engine provides a flexible way to perform custom actions that involve logical reasoning and allows you to reuse the defined functions with no effort. This version will be able to download soon.
