Download six free rigs from sci-fi movie Project London

The team behind indie sci-fi movie Project London has released some of the 3D assets used in the film for free. The download comprises six vehicles and mech suits from different artists, all fully rigged in Blender 2.4.8, and are available under a Creative Commons licence. It means you can use these rigs in any project you want as long as you apply the same Creative Commons License to your work and give us credit for our contribution. Blender 2.60a released

Blender 2.60a releasedOnly few days after releasing the new Blender 2.60 the Blender Foundation is releasing a new version 2.60a. The new release is fixing some bugs occurred in the latest release. This bug fix release fix bugs reported by the Blender community like; 3D window: Armature-bones with wire draw type were not displaying in solid view mode - r41113, 3D window header: After collapsing the pull-down menus, no icon available to make them show again. - r41117, Dopesheet: Fixed crash when moving keys in editor - r41128 and more.

Autodesk 123D Beta7 is here

Autodesk 123D Beta7 is already released. This release brings many improvements and features. The most notable improvements are new onboarding and help system to help the user to faster adoption and learning of 123D, scale command improvements, unified triad and introduction of dominant plane or move and rotate of face and edge. As a key new feature is Laser Cutting Workflow. Autodesk in this release starts to support personal fabrication workflows more directly – in particular, the laser cutting workflow.
