2.7 PhysX plug-in for Maya is also available

This wee we announced that NVIDIA release new version of their PhysX plug-in for 3ds Max and now NVIDIA already updated also this  PhysX plug-in for Maya. This version has support for PhysX 3.1 and also for APEX Clothing 1.1 and has also compatibility with other plug-ins that use PhysX directly (e.g. Thinking Particles). Release of 2.7 PhysX plug-in for Maya brings new unified exporter and improved PhysX shelf GUI. More details yoo will find, when you follow link at the end of article.

New PhysX Plugin 2.7 is released

Almost 2 month ago NVIDIA relaesed version 2.61 of PhysX plug-in for 3ds Max (2009 – 2012, 32- and 64-bit). And already now they announce release of new version 2.7. Plug-in now features two different simulation engines – PhysX SDK 2.8.4 and new PhysX SDK 3.1, with an option to switch between them seemlesly, without necessity to restart 3ds Max. This new release is compatibility with other plug-ins that use PhysX directly (e.g. Thinking Particles) and also fixed some bugs, which are described in link at the end of this article.

finalRender 3.5 Service Pack 6 is released

cebas Visual Technology Inc. announces the release of its latest Service Pack 6 for finalRender 3.5 and finalRender 3.5 SE as well as for the integrated and standalone finalToon. Service Pack 6 offers workflow enhancements as well as stability improvements. Distributed Network Rendering (DR) has been fine-tuned and enhanced. New service pack also brings some changes and bug fixes, e.g. adaptive QMC Global Illumination Engine is enhanced for a better performance with DR (Distributed Rendering) when rendering the same frame on multiple PCs.
