Demo of 3ds max plugin MadCar 3 is available

MadCar 3 is a plug-in for 3DS Max for quick rigging of wheeled vehicles and their animations by simulating the control. This new version allows rigging vehicles with any number of wheels, and with any of their mutual arrangements including motorcycles. There are simplified behavior setting for each of the wheels and suspension as well as fine tuning, this allows to simulate motion with qualities of a race car as well as heavy trucks. Animation is created during the simulation in real time. Simulation can be controlled by the keyboard, joysticks, game controllers, or steering wheel.

Voice-O-Matic (XSI Edition) is a powerful, easy-to-use plug-in which automates the lip synchronization process for your animated CG characters directly in Softimage.  Especially it is great plugin when you need to make your characters talk but don’t want to spend days or weeks doing it. Simply feed a recorded audio file to Voice-O-Matic and it will automatically generate timing and lip position data for your characters. Voice-O-Matic is very flexible cause no matter which type of character setup you wish to use: from shapes to complex bones-based rigs, and no matter the language for which you wish to create lip synchronization.

It speeds up intensive computations that glu3D performs to calculate particle fluid dynamics. With this glu3D edition it is possible to simulate faster and with more particles than before. Now  it is possible to simulate your scene more times and it is almost interactive. You can animated fluid scenes with more quality and level of detail. 

RayFire 1.57.05 is released

RayFire Tool gives you the ability to fragment, destroy, demolish, wreck, break down, wreak havoc, blow up, burst, detonate, explode and do other similar things you have always dreamed of to do in 3ds Max. This version brings Dead objects feature for sleeping objects and send to Sleeping list button if Dynamic objects menu. Release of RayFire 1.57.05 also fixed bias at demolition for Sleeping objects and fixes some small bugs.

 

 

Maide Control now allows to control Maya or 3ds Max via your iPad

Maide has updated its Maide Control app, enabling users to control 3ds Max or Maya via an iPad. Maide Control allows users to pan, zoom or rotate a 3D model or access basic modelling commands via the iPad’s multi-touch screen. The app links wirelessly to a free desktop software component, Maide Connect, which must be installed on the target PC. Maide Control is available now for $4.99, and requires iOS 4.3 or higher. The app also supports Rhino, SketchUp and SolidWorks.
