Facial Studio 3.0 released

Facial StudioToday Di-O-Matic released a new version of their Facial Studio v3 (Windows Edition) together with Essential version. The history of Facial Studio goes back to 2002 and from that time it’s one of the best and most used software for creating high-end 3D heads. Facial Studio includes more than 500 parameters to customize heads including option for creating heads from photos using Photo Matching tool. The exported head can be animated using FBX file format export.

This new update adds two of your most requested features. You can add the logo of your firm on your LiveCubes, and LumenRT now supports SketchUp "Face Me" billboards. LumenRT LiveCubes are helping firms to present attention-grabbing projects to clients and associates. The ability to add company logo directly to the LiveCube is very requested, because it helps to further enhance corporate identity and brand image. Billboard objects always face the camera and can dramatically improve performance by allowing complex objects to be defined with far fewer polygons while maintaining a 3D look and feel.

Shaderlight brings interactive rendering to Google SketchUp

A host of new features for architects and designers means Shaderlight Pro users can now render animations directly in Google SketchUp. The animation tool appears as a new button on the Shaderlight toolbar, giving access to a simple interface that enables renders of the SketchUp scene as a sequence of photoreal images for animation. The new Pro version will also render animations created using SUanimate and Keyframe Animation plugins. Shaderlight Pro v2 also hosts the unique new Replace Me function.

Golaem announces Golaem Crowd 1.2

Golaem announces Golaem Crowd 1.2, the latest update to its crowd simulation software for Autodesk Maya.  Key new features in version 1.2 include support for V-Ray, a switch to Disney’s open-source Partio particle file format and the option to set waypoints for individual crowd characters. Chaos Group V-Ray rendering engine is supported by generating .vrscene files for the characters and providing a dedicated procedural plugin. In order to support industry standards and improve performances, Golaem Crowd is now using Disney Partio as its particle format.
