Evermotion released a new package of models of their popular series Archmodels vol. 102. The new release is focused on clothes and in the package you will find more than 80 highly detailed models of clothes, shoes, caps, carpets and wardrobes, all with textures, shaders and materials. The package also includes 3 detailed scenes with all models, materials, lighting and scene setup prepared for V-Ray 1.5 with 3dsmax 2008. The size of the collection is 2,32 GB in 30 files and download only.

Autodesk has launched Autodesk Cloud, a new collection of web-based services, including online rendering, online collaboration. Users of the service get 3GB of online storage; the option to share, mark up and/or edit DWG and DWF files; and in some cases, to perform energy analysis or design tests. Additional cloud services exclusive to Autodesk Subscription customers give designers, engineers and digital artists sophisticated new capabilities, such as high-performance 3D visual communication, simulation and collaboration that were once limited to organizations with privileged access to expensive, high-end supercomputing centers.

Thea Render is coming out with next edition v1.1, which has a codename "Chameleon". The new edition has two very important additions. The first is a performance improvement, up to x2, which makes Thea faster than ever while the second is the very important integration with Motiva Colimo that makes possible to generate "infinite" variations from a single render. There are some cool features in Thea that improve the workflow a lot, e.g. working with History panel.

David Ferreira published on CG portal 3Dtotal his new Making of called „Turtle Freedom For Sale“. He made this image for a 3D challenge about freedom. In this tutorial he showed us his workflow by using various softwares for different parts of his work. After he made some sketches, he started sculpting a turtle in ZBrush and 3dsmax and continued with unwrapping, detailing and texturing. Every step was detailed explained. For postproduction he does not use Photoshop.
