Digital-Tutors are preparing a new rigging training for Autodesk Maya of Sea Creatures. Yesterday they released the first sneak peek of this upcoming training. The curse contains various tips and techniques for rigging in Maya needed for mastering your „swimming“ skills. You’ll learn intuitive and creative controls, how to set up Mel scripts to speed up repetitive tasks, how to make an automated overlapping tail system that can be blended into an FK control rig, skinning techniques to reduce time on edit weights and much more.
David Munoz Velazquez published on 3DTotal his new making of called „White Walker“, illustration made in Photoshop. Inspiration for his image found from a sort of "Blog War" where artists created their own version of their favorite character from the Game of Thrones TV series. In step-by-step workflow David explained the process of creating this character from the initial idea stage through to the finished illustration, covering topics such as techniques to add color, brushes and Photoshop tools.
Topic of this competition is to create an image related to this theme. It doesn`t matter if will be person diving under water or divers examining the cave. It must be created with Blender. You may use any external renderer you wish. Photographic elements are allowed, but must not be a central part of the image (eg. sky backgrounds are okay) and etc. For all condition follow the link at the end of the article.
