The December issue of 3D Artist is already released. Issue 36 of the magazine contains 35 pages of step-by-step guides covering a range of styles and 3D software. Today we focused on interview with Greg Liegey, a VFX Supervisor from Method Studios, and his responsibility on creating Tower Heist movie. Method Studios worked on six sequences and two stand-alone shots within Arthur Shaw’s apartment. They also completed 10 shots of digital alchemy (gold enhancement) using 2D color treatments or complete 3D replacements for gold objects in the scenes. Specially they paticipated on making of a Penthouse scene and creating a New York city panorama.
Digital-Tutors released a sneak-peek of a preview of their new training course called „Creature Concept Sculpting in ZBrush“. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to sculpt a creature that could be used to get approval for a design from a director as the base for a hero character model for TV, film, games or to be printed out and used as a vinyl statue.
