Already cover image show us, what we can expected from new issue of 3DCreative. In this issue start 2 new amazing series.  The first series we will discuss is the series that has provided this month’s cover image. Topology is a fundamental subject of 3D. If you want to be able to animate and manipulate your model you need to be working with clean topology. In this series Diego Maia will be showing us how to create clean topology and how to clean it up if your model requires it. In this issue he starts with an introduction to topology and shows us how to handle topology in some of the trickier areas.

Samsung Unveils its Next High-Performance Application Processor for Smartphone and Tablet Devices

Samsung officially revealed the Exynos 4212, a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 application processor designed on its 32-nm High-K Metal Gate (HK/MG) low-power process. Samsung said this process node is specifically tuned to offer "a competitive, cutting-edge platform" with double the logic density and a 30-percent lower power-level over the previous process generation. According to the company, the new Exynos processor features an enhanced GPU that is capable of delivering 50-percent higher 3D graphics performance over the previous processor generation from Samsung. It also incorporates a "portfolio" of advanced codec accelerators that support digital still images, video recording and play-back at 1080p full-HD resolution, an image signal processor and an on-chip HDMI 1.4 interface.

Preview of upcoming features for AutoCAD WS

Autodesk announced several new features to be added to the next release of AutoCAD WS, a free web and mobile application that enables users to view, edit and share AutoCAD projects across desktop, web and mobile devices. AutoCAD WS users will have access to 3D interactive features, including the ability to work with 3D drawings on mobile devices. In addition, AutoCAD WS will include GPS capabilities, allowing geographic location information to be shared and saved with design projects, as well as new Plot-to-Print capabilities for immediate remote printing to any HP ePrinter, including Designjets.

LWCAD 4.0 is released

Software developer WTools3D has released the latest version of its modelling plug-in for LightWave. New release includes some impressive new features e.g. full UV Mapping support – UV mapping support applied into every polygonal based tool or Shape Library 2 – next generation of Shape Library, fully compatible with the previous version or streamlined toolset – redundant tools removed and enlarged functionality of existing tools. This version is available for Windows and Mac and you can purchase it for 299$. You can also upgrade it from version 2.x and 3.x for 149 – 225$.
