Maxwell released a new update of his render engine Maxwell Render for Bonazai3D updating it to version 2.5.2.2. This new release requires Maxwell Render 2.5.1 or higher and Bonzai3D version 2.5 or higher to be working and possibly to install. The update brings with it new features and also bug fixes such as adding Simulens support, support for Bonzai Render Area Rectangle and much more. The update also fixes troubles of reading predefined Bonzai3D material library.
Changes:
- When creating a new project, a Physical Sky may be automatically added if there are no Maxwell light
types in your template file. (Avoids ‘no light sources, render will be black’ error)
- Added Simulens support.
- Added EV (Exposure Value) Lock.
- Added support for Bonzai’s “Render Area Rectangle.”
- Added sun position simulator in lights palette (for Physical Sky and Sky Dome, CURRENTLY OSX
ONLY).
- Added ability to load and save Physical Sky definitions. (Known Issue: gmt offset value is not read
correctly.)
Fixes:
- Fixed issue where certain textures from the bonzai3d predefined material library would not be found
when the RenderZone plugin is also installed.
- When referencing a material to an MXM for the first time, the file dialog starts at the last folder of
MXMs accessed during the work session (rather than the Documents folder)
- And more...
