OC3 Entertainment releases FaceFX 2013

modelingOC3 Entertainment has released FaceFX 2013, the latest update to its automated facial animation system. The software, which batch-processes audio files to generate user-customisable lip sync and facial animation, has been used on over 150 AAA games, including Max Payne 3 and Mass Effect 3.

FaceFX is OC3 Entertainment’s cutting edge solution for creating realistic facial animation from audio files. The product makes it easy to batch process thousands of audio files for your game, add expressions to a single animation without ruining the lip-synchronization, tweak an animation to perfection, or integrate the entire solution into your art pipeline.

FaceFX 2013 includes an all new FBX pipeline that greatly simplifies the process of generating a talking character. Just create an FBX with the default targets for your character then drag it onto FaceFX Studio and your character is ready to lip-synch to your audio files.

Major new features include FBX Pipeline, Confidence Scores, Python Plugins and Improvements to .clientspec files.

FaceFX is possible to buy for $899 and it supports Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya or Softimage latest versions.
