Shaderlight v2.1.5 is released

modelingArtVPS is announced a new version of Shaderlight for SketchUp, which is available to download. Shaderlight is an interactive rendering plug-in to Google SketchUp that lets you create high quality images quickly and simply. Latest version 2.1.5 is a maintenance patch release for a number of improvements and bug fixes. New version brings improved animation rendering performance, improved the quality of reflections seen in transparent materials, which could sometimes appear noisy or improved license activation software and much more.

 

 

 

What brings new version:

  • Improved license activation software
  • Changed default settings so that Physical Sky is the default lighting environment and resolution is set to 720 x 405
  • Improved animation rendering performance
  • Glowing glass now uses the material's diffuse colour for self-illumination
  • Bump maps now work with transparent materials
  • The background is now blurred by frosted glass objects
  • Material previews now update correctly when the user account has an '&' in its name
  • Pixellation is no longer visible when zooming in close to a bump-mapped surface
  • Improved the quality of reflections seen in transparent materials, which could sometimes appear noisy
  • Extra frames are no longer rendered at the end of an animation when the final scene is not included in the animation
  • Improved bump map quality for brushed metal materials
  • Improved the behaviour of auto-exposure when rotating the camera with Physical Sky or a custom or preset IBL selected.
  • Improved the behaviour of auto-exposure when zooming out a long way, so that the model is barely visible.
