Shaderlight V2.1, a rendering plug-in for Google SketchUp, is out

modeling

Shaderlight is an interactive rendering plug-in to Google SketchUp that lets you create high quality images quickly and simply.  The release of v2.1 now even gives you even more control over how you render your SketchUp models with the ability to animate your SketchUp scenes. Joining forces with Visa lighting, ArtVPS is offering Shaderlight users a readily available library of lighting fixtures as SketchUp 3D models, incorporating IES lighting files that are ready to render. These 3D models contain the correct lighting information so that, when rendered with Shaderlight Pro, the scenes are lit as you’d expect in the real world.

Existing 2.0 users can download the update now to upgrade to 2.1 for free. New users can buy the latest version from the Shaderlight website. You can also download the free 14-day trial of Shaderlight Pro to try out the new feature.

Kate Marshall, marketing director from ArtVPS said: “The recent launch of Shaderlight version 2 has been extremely well received but we are constantly looking for ways to add new features to improve workflow. Lighting is a critical part of any design but can take a huge amount of time and expertise to get right. By providing ‘Shaderlight ready’ lighting models, anyone can create real world lighting, simply”.
