Next Limit released a new version of their Realflow plugin taking the fluid dynamics simulator from the version 5.x to 2012. The updates includes several improvements starting from the GUI to Hybrido engine, performance improvements and also several bugs were fixed and the plugin is free for download for registered users. Huge improvements were done to Hybrido workflow and performance in this version featuring new features like Dripping water, automatic foam generation, New emitters and much more. Taking the Realflow 2012 to a new level Next Limit is introducing new tools inside Caronte rigid-body engine;
Fracture Tool - create fractured objects directly within your project, Servos Engines - animate rigid bodies in a physically-correct fashion and Retimer Tool - enabling you to crate bullet time and slow motion effects or even reverse a simulation. The GUI enhancements includes new layers panel - faster workflow, easier simulation, improved visibility.
Next Limit is also offering a „Learning Edition“, a restricted non-commercial version. Real Flow 2012 is compatible with most of the 3D applications via connectivity plug-ins such as; Autodesk 3DsMax 7-2012, Lightwave 9-10, Autodesk Maya 2008-2012 and more.
Some of the changes:
