In November 2010 was asked Xenon Studios for the project of creating the Title Sequence of Sky Sports’ Super League coverage was asked Xenon Studios, which was formed after the closure of Ark VFX.
Super League is one of the best rugby leagues in Europe. Rugby is very tough, dynamic also tactical game, which can seem sometimes brutal. That is the reason why the players are called “Men Of Steel”.
The brief was to get this concept across in a 30 second action sequence which involved players battling it out in a Science Fiction inspired setting. Authenticity also had to be a key part of the sequence. Team must to solve many tasks e.g. create suit modelling, which should look a bit superhero but still realistic or create animation where all the moves and sequences look authentic.
