Gnomon Workshop published two free ZBrush tutorials made by character artist Mark Dedecker who is specializing in high and low resolution modelling and texturing for film and game characters. In one of the tutorials called „Texture to displacement“ Mark will explain how to create seams in cloth using polygroups based on the UV shells of a model. He will also explain how to convert texture files into a displacement map and how to place it on the model as sculptural detail in ZBrush.
The second tutorial called „Displacement Tutorial“ is about the process of generating 16 bit and 32 bit displacements. Mark will here also discuss the use of GoZ plugin for export models into Maya. Both tutorials are available for registered users and completely free.
